If you are a travel addicted or if you travel just once or twice in a year, nothing is more important than feel comfortable when you’re outside your “comfy zone”, so I want to share with you my personal travel must haves.

The choise of what to put in your luggage is fundamental: you don’t want to bring uneusuful things, you want to travel light and, most of all, smart.

So, let’s start 🙂

  1. A jeans

Someone could say that it’s too informal but a jeans could save several situations. It’s casual with a tshirt, can be more formal with a polo-shirt, or almost elegant if matched with a shirt and good shoes. A jeans is a basic cloth to wear traveling, the perfect solution for touring the city during the day, but also for a dinner or a night event.

rain

  1. A rain jacket

Both if you travel during the winter or summer, you can never know when the rain will come. Being in the middle of a city tour and being surprised by the rain can be very unconfortable. To wear a rain jacket traveling, more than an umbrella, can protect you from the water leaving your hands and your mind free.

shoes

  1. Comfortable shoes

Never, never underestimate the importance of wearing comfortable shoes. Traveling includes long walks: if your feet are uncomfortable, you will be too. So if your destination is a big city where you know you will walk a lot (like in Amsterdam, in my experience) don’t bring shoes that are too new or too old: the first could be a bad surprise, the second could leave you barefoot.

  1. A light scarf

You would be surprised learning how a scarf could be helpful in several situations. Use it to wrap your neck if you feel cold, to cover your head if the sun is too strong, to cover some pieces of your body if you are going to visit a place that requires it, like a Cathedral or a Mosque. During my summer trip to Morocco, for isntance, I always had a light scarf in my bag, and it was so useful during the hot days, the windy nights and the religious places I visited like the Hassan II Mosque.

app

  1. Good apps for travelers

This is one of the best advantages of technology. When you travel you want to save space, time and efforts so it could be very important to chose the best apps for travelers. There are app for flights, hotels, maps, city tours, currency exchange and so on… You just need to choose the ones that fit with your needs. Here are my favorites
