If you already booked your flight to Budapest and you’re in the moment of picking a hotel, you’re probably wondering which is the best part of the city to stay for some days, preferably in a pretty quiet area but also close to all the main attractions of the city.

You know that Budapest is divided in two parts by the Danube river: Buda, the western part, the more mysterious and full of interesting hidden gems to be discovered, and Pest, the eastern one, with so many touristic attractions and things to do.

Well, when I chose to spend some nights in art’otel budapest I was afraid that, being in the Buda part, it would have been complicated to cross the river everyday for going to the city centre.

But at the end of my stay I was so happy about my choice that I have no doubts: next time in Budapest I will surely stay in the same place.

Are you wondering why? 🙂

It’s simply beautiful

As the name itself suggests, art’otel budapest appearance is completely related to art and design. From the walls to the moquettes, from the sofas to the beds, everything has got an unique style, all the ambients are decorated with colourful and precious details.

The design of art’otel budapest is entirely curated by Donald Sultan, an American contemporary artist who likes to experiment using industrial materials and methods to create his paintings.

All this attention to art is evident in every single corner of art’otel budapest, and the care to details makes this place absolutely unique.

The location is ideal

As I said at the beginning, art’otel budapest is located in Buda, the western part of Budapest. It could seem out of the way, but actually it’s not: you can reach the city centre crossing the Chain Bridge in a 15 minutes nice walk along the river. If you don’t want to go by foot, you have 3 different options: taking a tram just in front of the hotel, taking a bus at the Chain Bridge, or going to the Batthyány metro station. Whatever you choose, in each one of this ways you will be in Pest in around 20 minutes.

Thanks to its location, art’otel budapest has a double benefit: even being very close to the centre, it’s absolutely quite and peaceful, and you won’t have to go through the noisy crowded streets of the city. And, most of all, being in Buda the hotel gives you the possibility to enjoy a privileged position. And this leads us to the next point.

The view is amazing

The building stands right in front of the Danube river, and this aspect makes the place magical. That’s because you’ll have an amazing room with view, both if it is on the front or on the back side of the building.

My room window overlooked the river, the area between the Parliament building and the Chain Bridge, and the panorama was incredibly beautiful especially at night, when everything is illuminated and the Danube brights.

This was the view from my room at night

On the back side, the hotel overlooks the Buda Hill, with his huge Castle, the Matthias Church and the Fisherman’s Bastion, in a very fairy tale atmosphere.

There’s anything you need

I think everyone deserves a break to relax and be pampered. Well, art’otel budapest – in my experience – was the best.

Let’s start from the room: everything was super clean, the bathroom was spacious and very very nice, the bed incredibly comfortable, I had an entire closet, a big television and even a mini bar.

Leaving aside the fact that I was welcomed with a delicious chocolate (how did they know I’m crazy about chocolate?), my reservation included the breakfast, but I wasn’t expecting such a huge buffet, full of delicious fresh food. There’s literally anything you can want to eat: fruit, vegetables, bread, bacon, eggs, cheeses, mushrooms, but also croissants, muffins, cakes, yogurt, muesli, and also coffee, tee, hot chocolate, cappuccino, fruit juices. Everything is home made and simply delicious. Waking up in the morning has never been such a joy! 🙂

That’s not all. The hotel offers, for free, a high-speed Wi-Fi, a fitness centre and – if this were not enough – a sauna, the best option to spend a midwinter snowing evening, as I did! 🙂

My extremely good experience

I could continue listing all the good aspects that made my stay quite perfect, but I risk to seem not honest.

The truth is that I really really enjoyed to spend some nights in art’otel budapest.

The hotel is not only well located in the city, but it also offers a privileged view from its room; it’s not only a big, clean and beautiful place, but everything is also perfectly curated and you can actually have anything you need.

Personally, I couldn’t ask anything else from a hotel. What about you? 🙂

*Thanks to art’otel budapest for offering me a complimentary stay. I didn’t receive any money for this post. All opinions, as always, are my own.*
