I’m a great traveler, and anytime I hear about travel items to simplify my life on the road I’m super curious.

When I discovered the Scrubba Wash Bag I was not so sure about the real benefit. Then I tested it, and I have to admit that it could be really useful, especially if you go camping or you spend a long time on the road.

The Scrubba Wash Bag is a portable fold-up wash system, that require a very tiny space in your luggage and, just for this reason, it deserves a try 🙂

How it works

Using the Scrubba Wash Bag is super easy: you add your dirty clothes, water and detergent, you fold up the bag, clip it closed and remove excess air. Than you need to scrub for three-four minutes. When you’ve done, unclip and unroll the bag’s seal, remove dirty water and rinse your clothes with fresh water.

The Scrubba Wash Bag works on the same principle as an old-fashion washboard: clothing is cleaned by rubbing them against the washboard.

The total volume of the bag is around 13L but, as you need to seal the bag and rub the clothes from outside, the optimal working volume is 3-4L. Anyway, some marks on the front of the bag will help you to add the right volume of clothes and water.

It’s recommended to invert the bag after use to dry, and you can use the clips to hang it!

My opinion

After have used the Scrubba Wash Bag by myself, I clarified my opinion about it.

I think it’s a very good and helpful items for travelers: obviously you can use it in you hotel room or apartment, under the shower or in the bath, but I think the bag it’s more useful for camping or long trips on the road. In these cases it’s seriously the best way to wash your clothes.
