Mr. Brown is a low-cost pub in Trastevere in Rome, which offers good quality drinks for a very cheap price, that’s not so common in the centre of Rome.

It’s located just behind Piazza Trilussa (Trilussa Square) and, in the chaos of the district’s little streets during the weekend nights, it’s like it wants to remain hidden.

It’s a tiny place and the interior is detailed furnished: a mix of candles, weird chairs, snowboard tables used as coffee tables and many other creative ideas.

The atmosphere is not the best: small, confusing, with an overstated smell of alcohol.

mr brownBut let’s consider the products quality: the bartenders are very professional, serving good cocktails and happily chatting with clients. You can seat to enjoy your cocktail in a couch in the small room on the back, but try to go there early because, being such a small place, it fills up very quickly.

Mr. Brown is a good choice also if you want to sip a drink while you take a walk in Trastevere.

If you are a sociable person and you want to meet people, here you will always find young people from different parts of the world.

I particularly suggest Mr. Brown for an aperitif drink: until 9 pm you will pay 3,50 Euros for a cocktail instead of 5. Such an uncommon price in the center of Rome!

If you are looking for a chic little place where you can sip a Martini with a background jazz music, Mr. Brown is not the ideal place.

But if you value good cocktails and nice atmosphere, trust me, give it a chance.
